'Gitlin on Divorce' Online Research SystemThe 'Gitlin on Divorce Online Research System' is a state of the art Internet based electronic database research tool. Gunnar J. Gitlin designed the online system to serve Illinois family lawyers and judges. Using the system, a lawyer can quickly and authoritatively research virtually any Illinois family law issue in a matter of seconds. Moreover the contents of the reports of cases can be immediately copied and incorporated into briefs, memos, etc. The Research System compiles reports of all of the significant Illinois family law case reports since 1984. These reports are organized by subject matter, holding, trial court judge, appellate court judge, and include relevant commentary. We now have a link to the full text of the case -- currently going back to the year 1999. We are in the process of including direct links to the full text of all of the remainder of the Illinois family law cases. The System includes a table of contents that is linked to the subject matter in the reports - to quickly bring up the reports concerning general or even specific subject matter. Additionally, you can use the system to quickly review the most recent Illinois case law. The system will highlight the most recent cases and provide the easiest method available to stay abreast of Illinois family law. In addition to the summary report of each family law case, the system will soon contain the full text of all of the significant Illinois case law over a period of nearly 20 years. The Gitlin on Divorce Online Research System also includes a summary of Illinois post-Eckert Removal Cases (including Collingbourne), a summary of key cases and legislative law by year, and listings and summaries of the most recently added reports. The System includes the 'Gitlin on Divorce' Reports since 1984. It is a collaborative effort of H. Joseph Gitlin of Gitlin & Kasper and Gunnar J. Gitlin of the Gitlin Law Firm, P.C. H. Joseph Gitlin is responsible for publishing the "hard copy" of the Gitlin on Divorce Reports, and Gunnar J. Gitlin is responsible for the transformation of the hard copy to the online research system. Additionally, Gunnar Gitlin adds his own commentary from time to time to the original reports (which often have the commentary of H. Joseph Gitlin). The system is used internally as a research tool by The Gitlin Law Firm, the Gitlin & Kasper firm, and a number of subscribers (including judges). How do you find
out more or become a subscriber? Who are some other subscribers to the system?
